Summary

This pilot trial tests a peer-led program called PEGISUS, designed to reduce substance use and promote gender-equitable beliefs among young people aged 16-24 in vocational training programs in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Participants attend eight group sessions and are compared to those receiving standard vocational training and a healthcare referral. The study will measure substance use and other outcomes at 12 and 24 weeks.
