First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a virtual peer recovery coach can help incarcerated adults with substance use disorders connect to addiction treatment and support. About 550 participants will either get usual care or a video session with a coach who uses motivational interviewing to link them to resources. The goal is to see if this approach increases engagement in recovery services and reduces substance use and re-arrests.
