Scientists scan brains to unlock Parkinson's secrets
NCT ID NCT05516732
Summary
This study aims to better understand Parkinson's disease by looking at brain chemistry and structure. Researchers will use advanced brain imaging scans (PET, SPECT, and MRI) on 42 participants aged 25-85 to identify biological markers of the disease. The findings could help guide the future development of medications to slow Parkinson's progression, but this study itself does not test treatments.
