Scientists scan brains to unlock Parkinson's progression secrets
NCT ID NCT05516719
Summary
This study aims to find a measurable sign, or biomarker, of Parkinson's disease progression. Researchers will use specialized brain scans (PET, SPECT, and MRI) on 44 participants to look at chemical and structural changes over a one-year period. The goal is to better understand the disease to help develop future medications that could slow its progression.
