New study tests a health coach approach to well-child visits for black families
NCT ID NCT05852392
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026
Summary
This study looks at a new way of doing well-child checkups for Black families. Instead of relying only on a doctor, a community health worker (called a 'Parent's Coach') helps provide many of the services. The goal is to see if this approach improves preventive care, reduces emergency room visits, and better meets families' needs compared to standard checkups.
