NCT ID NCT06474767
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a pre-visit questionnaire helps Black parents of preterm infants with chronic lung disease set and achieve health goals during primary care visits. Thirty parents will complete the questionnaire before a well-child visit and then report back on goal progress. The study focuses on whether the tool is feasible and acceptable, not on direct health outcomes.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Pediatric Collaborative Goal Setting (P-CGS) questionnaire
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could help parents of preterm infants with chronic lung disease feel more involved in their child's care and achieve health goals.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (30 participants) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. It may not show clear benefits or be generalizable to other groups.
