New Two-Pronged attack on tough pancreatic cancer

Summary

This study is testing if a powerful, two-step treatment can better control a hard-to-treat form of pancreatic cancer. First, patients receive two strong chemotherapy drugs in sequence. If the cancer doesn't grow, they then receive a very precise, high-dose form of radiotherapy guided by an MRI machine. The goal is to shrink the tumor and stop it from spreading, potentially making surgery an option for some.
