Antibiotic penetration in pancreatic collections under study
NCT ID NCT07084428
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This observational study looks at how well antibiotics given through a vein reach infected fluid collections in the pancreas of people with acute pancreatitis. About 40 adults who are already scheduled for drainage of these collections will provide a small fluid sample and a blood sample to compare antibiotic levels. The study does not change standard care and aims to help doctors choose better antibiotic doses in the future.
