Summary
This study tests a shorter course of radiation (39 Gy in 13 sessions) to relieve symptoms like bleeding and pain in 50 rectal cancer patients who cannot have surgery due to age, other illnesses, or cancer spread. The goal is to improve quality of life with fewer side effects. It is a retrospective review of patients already treated with this approach.
