NCT ID NCT07556614
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving a nerve block (called a supra-inguinal fascia iliaca block) before spinal anesthesia can reduce pain when positioning hip fracture patients for surgery. 132 patients aged 60-80 took part. Half received the block, half did not. Pain levels were measured using a standard pain scale at rest, during positioning, and up to 24 hours after surgery.
