Freezing vs. heating: new hope for Soldiers' chronic nerve pain

NCT ID NCT07416448

Summary

This study in Ukraine aims to find out which of two minimally invasive procedures works better for reducing severe nerve pain caused by combat injuries. Fifty adult patients with this type of pain will be randomly assigned to receive either a 'freezing' (cryoablation) or a 'heating' (radiofrequency ablation) treatment on the affected nerve. The main goal is to see which method provides better pain relief, improves daily function, and reduces the need for strong painkillers like opioids.
