New nerve block technique aims to slash morphine use after knee tumor surgery
NCT ID NCT07382297
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding an ultrasound-guided IPACK nerve block to the usual adductor canal block can better control pain after knee tumor removal. About 70 adults aged 18–65 will be randomly assigned to receive either the extra block or standard pain medicines. The goal is to see if the block delays the need for rescue painkillers and reduces total morphine use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
