First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested two types of nerve blocks (erector spinae plane block and serratus anterior plane block) to see which provides better pain relief after breast reduction surgery. 80 women received one of the two blocks, and researchers measured how much pain medication they needed and their pain levels over 24 hours. The goal was to find a way to reduce pain and opioid use after surgery.
