First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compared two types of nerve blocks (erector spinae plane block and serratus anterior plane block) for pain relief after breast reduction surgery. Eighty women received one of the two blocks before surgery, and researchers measured their pain scores and how much opioid painkiller they needed in the first 24 hours. The goal was to find which block provides better pain control and reduces opioid-related side effects.
