New program aims to ease debilitating pain for breast cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT06106282

Summary

This study tested a 2-day pain management program for breast cancer survivors experiencing joint and muscle pain as a side effect of their hormone therapy (aromatase inhibitors). The program used counseling, education, and coping strategies to help 105 participants better manage their pain, improve daily function and mood, and stay on their prescribed cancer medication. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, fatigue, and quality of life to see if the program was effective.
