Sweat sensor could alert doctors to hidden pain
NCT ID NCT06677593
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a wearable skin sensor can tell how much pain a person is feeling. Thirty-seven adults with cancer or COPD will wear the device for up to a week and rate their pain. The goal is to create an algorithm that automatically detects rising pain levels and alerts caregivers. This is an early, exploratory study to gather information, not a treatment.
