New nerve block combo could ease heart surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT04908449
Summary
This study tested whether adding a second type of nerve block to a standard pain control method improves recovery after heart surgery. Researchers compared pain levels, opioid medication use, and breathing function in 62 patients who received either one or two types of nerve blocks. The goal was to find the most effective approach for managing post-surgery pain while reducing reliance on strong painkillers.
