Can a single pill help people with PAD walk farther?
NCT ID NCT06319339
Summary
This early-stage study is testing if a single dose of the drug diroximel fumarate (Vumerity) can improve blood vessel function and walking capacity in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers will give 20 participants either the drug or a placebo and measure changes in blood flow and walking distance on a treadmill. The goal is to see if reducing cellular stress can quickly ease the leg pain and walking limitations caused by PAD.
