MS drug trial aims to help PAD patients walk farther

NCT ID NCT06319339

Summary

This early-stage study is testing if a single dose of an existing drug, diroximel fumarate (Vumerity), can help people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) walk better. Researchers believe the drug may reduce harmful stress in blood vessels, improving blood flow to the legs. About 20 participants will take either the drug or a placebo, and their walking capacity and blood vessel function will be measured before and after.
