Heart surgery pain relief: a simple pill vs. an IV drip?

Summary
This study is testing if giving methadone as a pill before surgery works as well as giving it through an IV during surgery to control pain afterward. It involves 100 adults having planned heart surgery. The main goal is to see which method better reduces the need for strong painkillers in the days following the operation.
