Summary
This study tested a new topical gel and mouthwash to see if it could reduce severe mouth sores in people receiving radiation for head and neck cancer. It also looked at whether using the products could improve patients' long-term quality of life after treatment ended. The trial involved 63 patients and measured both the severity of the sores and how patients felt about their symptoms and daily life.
