Summary
This study tested a new automated screening tool called OPTDR01 for diabetic retinopathy, a leading cause of vision loss. The goal was to see if it could be easily used in primary care settings to help more people get screened, especially those with limited access to eye specialists. The study enrolled 300 adults with diabetes who had not been previously diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy.
