Summary
This study tested a program to help adults with chronic pain, anxiety, and depression who were taking long-term opioids. The program added a pharmacist, a social worker, and a community health worker to the care team to support safer opioid use. The goal was to reduce high-dose prescriptions and improve pain management. The study included 490 people and compared the new team-based approach to usual care.
