Summary

This study looks at how different types of anesthesia affect cancer cells and recovery in people having surgery for colorectal cancer. Ninety adults will be randomly assigned to receive opioid-free, opioid-sparing, or standard opioid-based anesthesia. Researchers will measure blood markers and cancer cell activity before and after surgery to see if avoiding opioids helps reduce cancer spread and improve pain control.
