First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of weighing teens and young adults (ages 12-24) with eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia. One group sees their weight (open weighing), the other does not (blind weighing). The goal is to see if open weighing reduces anxiety about weight gain and improves eating disorder symptoms. Researchers will track changes using questionnaires over the course of treatment.
