First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study compares a new antibiotic, omadacycline, taken once daily, to standard oral antibiotics for bone and joint infections. About 180 adults who need 4 to 12 weeks of treatment will be randomly assigned to either the new drug or standard care. The goal is to see if omadacycline works just as well and is easier for patients to stick with.
