New hope pill targets weakness in advanced breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03344965

Summary

This study is testing whether a pill called olaparib can help control metastatic breast cancer that has spread in the body. It is for patients whose cancer has a specific weakness—a mutation in certain genes that help repair damaged DNA. The goal is to see if targeting this weakness with olaparib can stop or slow the cancer's growth.
