First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining two proven talk therapies—cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT)—works better than either alone for postpartum depression in mothers whose babies are in the NICU. 72 high-risk mothers will receive 4 to 8 weeks of therapy. The goal is to find the most effective way to reduce depression symptoms and improve well-being for both mom and baby.
