Weight-Loss surgery study tracks rapid health improvements
NCT ID NCT06015620
Summary
This study aims to understand how weight-loss surgery helps control health problems linked to severe obesity, such as type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea. Researchers will follow 35 patients who are already scheduled for a specific type of weight-loss surgery (mini-gastric bypass) as part of their standard care. The main goal is to see how improvements in these health conditions relate to changes in the patient's body composition (like fat and muscle) after the operation.
