First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how two weight-loss medications, tirzepatide and liraglutide, affect bone health and body composition in adults with severe obesity (BMI 40 or higher). Over 6 months, researchers will measure changes in bone turnover markers, weight, and body fat. The goal is to understand if one drug is better for bone health during weight loss. 72 participants aged 30-65 are being recruited.
