First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested a mobile app called OASES that guides clinicians step-by-step through emergency care for severe diarrhea, breathing problems, and seizures. About 15 nurses and clinical officers in a rural Ugandan hospital used the app during simulated emergencies to see if it helped them follow treatment guidelines more accurately. No real patients were involved, and the results will help improve the app for future use.
