New drug cocktail aims to tackle tough blood cancers

NCT ID NCT07520006

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new drug called NX-5948 (bexobrutideg) combined with other medicines (venetoclax, and possibly rituximab or obinutuzumab) in adults with B-cell lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, or small lymphocytic lymphoma. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and effective for people whose cancer has returned or not responded to prior treatments, as well as for those receiving first-time therapy. About 150 participants will take part across multiple centers.

Active substance

What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new combination treatment option for people with certain blood cancers that have stopped responding to standard therapy.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (1b/2) with a small number of participants, so results may not apply broadly. Side effects from the drug combinations are possible and not yet fully known.
