Can free meals fight diabetes and obesity in Low-Income communities?

NCT ID NCT05799222

Summary

This study is testing whether a structured meal replacement program can help low-income adults with obesity, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes lose weight and lower their blood sugar. Researchers will provide participants with a low-calorie nutrition plan and track their weight, blood sugar levels, and reasons for sticking with or dropping out of the program. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and effective for people who often face barriers to healthy eating.
