Walnuts and walking: new prehab study for native cancer patients

Summary

This study is testing whether a program of eating walnuts and doing moderate exercise before cancer treatment is practical and acceptable for American Indian patients. Researchers will also measure markers of inflammation in blood and tumor tissue to see if the program has an effect. The goal is to learn if this approach can be used in larger studies to improve outcomes.
