Texting a nurse before colonoscopy may reduce pain and worry
NCT ID NCT07664800
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether online counseling from a nurse, starting 24 hours before a colonoscopy, could help patients feel less pain and anxiety and be more comfortable. Sixty adults were split into two groups: one got standard care, the other got extra nurse support via face-to-face teaching, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages. Researchers measured anxiety, pain, and comfort levels during the procedure.
