New putty could help back surgery patients heal better

Summary
This study tests a new material called Novosis Putty used during spinal fusion surgery for people with degenerative disc disease in the lower back. The putty is meant to help the bones fuse together better. About 316 adults who have not improved with other treatments will take part. The goal is to see if the putty leads to successful fusion, less pain, and fewer complications.
