New device aims to cut opioid use after knee surgery

Summary

This study tests a device called NOVABLOC to see if it can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after knee replacement surgery. About 120 adults having a first knee replacement will be randomly assigned to get the real device or a sham version. The main goal is to measure worst pain at day 10 and total opioid use through day 5.
