Summary

This large study is testing whether a screening procedure called flexible sigmoidoscopy can lower the number of colorectal cancer cases and deaths. About 100,000 men and women aged 50-64 in Norway are taking part. The study also looks at adding a stool blood test and how screening affects overall colonoscopy use in the community.
