First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compared two drugs, norepinephrine and ephedrine, for treating low blood pressure that can happen after anesthesia in emergency abdominal surgery. About 100 adults were randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs when their blood pressure dropped. The goal was to see which drug restores blood pressure faster and with fewer doses.
