Summary
This study tested whether using lidocaine instead of opioids during anesthesia induction could prevent low blood pressure in 149 adults undergoing emergency abdominal surgery. The goal was to find a safer way to start anesthesia. Results may help guide anesthesia choices for these high-risk patients.
