NCT ID NCT03818932

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a nonopioid pain relief plan works as well as standard opioid painkillers after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. About 90 adults having ACL surgery were randomly assigned to receive either nonopioid or opioid pain medication. The goal was to see if the nonopioid approach could control pain just as well, potentially reducing the need for opioids.
