New hope for bedsores: 2,000-Patient trial tests advanced wound matrices
NCT ID NCT07665268
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding special wound dressings (called CAMPs) to standard care helps heal pressure ulcers (bedsores) that won't close on their own. About 2,000 adults with stage 3 or 4 pressure sores will receive weekly applications of a CAMP product plus standard care, or standard care alone, for up to 20 weeks. The main goal is to see if more ulcers close completely with the added treatment.
