Summary
This pilot study tested a new treatment called non-thermal plasma (NTP) for painful mouth ulcers in 50 adults. The goal was to see if NTP could speed up healing and reduce pain better than standard laser therapy or a placebo. Participants were randomly assigned to one of three groups and had their ulcer size, pain, and healing time measured.
