Summary

This study is developing a blood test that can determine the father of a fetus without any risk to the pregnancy. It is designed for victims of sexual assault who become pregnant and need to know paternity for legal reasons. The test analyzes fetal DNA found naturally in the mother's blood between 6 and 22 weeks of pregnancy. About 60 mothers and potential fathers will participate to see if the test is accurate.
