Can a natural supplement keep your blood vessels young?
NCT ID NCT07469475
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a daily supplement made from ginger, L-citrulline, and two herbs can improve blood vessel function and reduce markers of aging in healthy adults. Over six weeks, 35 participants will take the supplement and have blood drawn to measure changes in PAI-1, a protein linked to aging and heart disease. The goal is to see if this natural approach can help prevent or delay cardiovascular problems.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
dietary supplement containing ginger extract, L-citrulline, Paullinia cupana, and muira puama
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple supplement to help maintain blood vessel health and reduce cardiovascular risk as people age.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-phase trial with only 35 participants and no placebo group. The supplement may not show meaningful effects on aging or disease risk.
