Summary
This study looked at whether using a mouth rinse with added nitrate changes the types of bacteria living in your mouth. Twenty-one healthy adults used either a nitrate rinse or plain water once daily for two weeks. Researchers measured changes in mouth bacteria, blood pressure, and saliva nitric oxide levels.
