New combo therapy shows promise for aggressive breast cancer

Summary

This study tests a new combination of two drugs—niraparib and trastuzumab—in people with metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. The goal is to see if the combo is safe and can shrink tumors or slow cancer growth. About 46 women with advanced cancer that has spread will take part.
