Smartwatch fights nightmares to protect Veterans' hearts
NCT ID NCT06419959
Summary
This study is testing whether a prescription smartwatch app called NightWare can improve sleep and heart health in Veterans with PTSD. The app detects when a nightmare is happening using heart rate and movement, and gently interrupts it. Researchers will enroll 125 Veterans to see if using the device for 8 weeks leads to better sleep and improved measures of heart and blood vessel health.
