Can a nap room and fancy glasses save night shift nurses from burnout?
NCT ID NCT06829979
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether giving night shift nurses access to a napping/relaxation room and blue/green light blocking glasses is practical and might improve their health and reduce burnout. Five nurses from one hospital took part. The study focused on whether nurses would use these tools and complete the surveys and saliva samples, not on proving they work.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward simple, low-cost ways to help night shift nurses feel healthier and less burned out.
