First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a supplement called nicotinamide riboside (a form of vitamin B3) can help mothers of premature or sick babies produce more breast milk while their infant is in the NICU. About 40 mothers will receive either the supplement or a placebo for several weeks. The goal is to see if the supplement is a safe and practical way to increase milk volume and improve milk nutrients.
