New hope for tough breast cancer: trial tests pill to boost standard treatment

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing the safety and best dose of a new oral drug, ASTX727, when added to standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The study aims to see if this combination can shrink or control tumors better than standard treatment alone. Researchers will enroll about 32 adults to find the safest dose and gather initial information on how well the treatment works.
